HilverdaFlorist Colombia is the young plant supplier for Dianthus, Alstroemeria and Limonium in Latin America. HilverdaFlorist Colombia is a subsidiary of HilverdaFlorist in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\t\n\n \n

A strong company<\/h2>\n

The company Hilverda changed its name to HilverdaKooij after acquiring in 2008 P. Kooij & Zonen, a company specialized in carnation hybridization. This created a stronger company, which today focuses on the supply of plant material for the cultivation of cut flower and potted carnations.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, products such as the striking Dianthus hybrids Sparkz, the Gypsophyla Zinzi series, Helleborus, Magnificent Bells and Scabiosa have been added to complete our extraordinary cut flower range.<\/p>\n

In recent years, the line of potted plants has also been expanded. In addition to Sunflor Dianthus. HilverdaKooij also breeds and propagates Alstroemeria Inticancha, Dianthus Beauties, Echinacea MOOODZ, Helleborus Niger, Winterbells (Interspecific) and Orientalis. All Helleborus varieties are tissue-culture.<\/p>\n

In 2020 HilverdaKooij merged with Gerbera specialist Florist Holland, and continued under the name HilverdaFlorist. As sister organizations both companies already worked together regularly. By combining knowledge and resources, the companies are able to further improve and expand the assortment. HilverdaKooij and Florist Holland were both international players. The international sales networks and the foreign production locations of both companies fit in well with each other.<\/p>\n

Since 2008 HilverdaKooij has a plant material propagation operation in Colombia, through its subsidiary HilverdaKooij Colombia S.A.S.. HilverdaKooij Colombia continues under the name HilverdaFlorist Colombia S.A.S as of october 14th 2020.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n\n \n\n

Innovation and development<\/h2>\n

HilverdaFlorist’ Research and Development Department (R&D) develops new varieties in different product groups. The company has extensive know-how in the field of classical breeding, but modern breeding procedures are also used. This has led to outstanding and successful results in the development of new varieties.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n

In order to maximize efficiency, HilverdaFlorist has decentralized part of its business activities. By moving production closer to consumer markets, it has achieved significant savings with respect to energy needs and transport costs.
